A MAN has been banned for life from a public city park after he allegedly dropped his pants and tried to have sex with a tree.
William Shaw, 21, has been ordered by a court not to enter Central Park in Airdrie, Scotland after claims he attempted to have intercourse with the plant.
It is alleged he dropped his trousers and underpants while in the visitor attraction in September last year.
It is claimed he then tried to have simulated sex with the tree while his trousers were around his ankles.
Shaw, of Airdrie, pleaded not guilty to an act of public indecency at the town's sheriff court.
Sheriff Frank Pieri released Shaw on bail on the condition that he stays away from Central Park.
A neighbour said: "I have seen him about and he seems a quiet lad."

CLIP:
When staff members at a Wellesley, Mass., school went to the nurse last Friday, they expected to be injected with a vaccine for theH1N1 flu. What they received instead was a shot of insulin resulting in a bout with low blood sugar.
Seasonal shots may "prime" the immune system to react to the H1N1 virus. While the staffers seem to be suffering no long-term damage from mistakenly receiving the insulin injections, investigations are ongoing to determine what caused the medical error. Indications thus far have been that a school nurse was responsible. The nurse has been temporarily relieved of duty.

In one of a string of fake online profiles on SeekingMillionaire.com, "the meeting place for wealthy and beautiful singles", Brown identified himself as "Bree - just looking for Mr. Right", with accompanying photos of the brunette cover girl.
He enticed rich suitors by sending them pictures of Bree's face photo-shopped onto nude photos of other women.

A COUPLE were left red-faced during a late-night dash for a takeaway when they were pulled up by police for a random breath test wearing nothing but their undies.
Dee Cunningham, 32, and husband Mick were sprung at an RBT in Darwin after going on a Subway run on Sunday night.
"It was after 8pm and we quickly wanted to get something to eat," Ms Cunningham told the NT News.
"We had no intentions of getting out of the car, as it was pouring down rain and we only wanted to get something at a drive-through - no harm going in undies."
She said she had thought about going in the nude, but luckily changed her mind before getting into the car.

CLIP:
Sweet wrappers, hamburger boxes and chewing gum are the most common items dropped on the streets, at a huge cost to local councils.
The Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (EFRA) Committee want a new charge to be levied on products that produce the most litter.
The new levy is part of a long-awaited report on how Britain can turn around its "throwaway culture".
The committee recommend every council should be made to collect food waste separately, meaning a slop bucket in most homes, to reduce the amount of biodegradable waste going to landfill.
