Police in Northwood, N.H., said they used an innertube to pull a 25-year-old burglary suspect of out of lake. WMUR reported investigators believe the man and a friend broke into a home Saturday night. A driver passing by called police after hearing glass break. Police believe one of the suspects smashed a glass door, stuck his hand inside the window and turned the doorknob from the inside to get into the house.

BANGOR, Maine — A British woman allegedly had an in-flight meal of prescription drugs, wine and liquid soap — before trying to bite the crew of a London-bound jetliner.

A Palm Beach County woman told police she crashed her car into her boyfriend's truck to prevent him from driving drunk. The sheriff's office reports that a 33-year-old woman was charged Thursday for the April 13 crash.

A VICTORIAN pensioner got the fright of his life when he was told by Centrelink workers he was listed as dead.

Clive Norton, 71, was told Centrelink records showed he died on April 8.

"I was pretty upset and just dumbfounded for a while," the Ballarat man said.

His wife, Denise, 61, even received a Centrelink payment for $2292 for funeral expences..
