INDIANAPOLIS — A Franklin man was arrested after police say he left his 5-year-old son in a tractor-trailer while he ducked into an Indianapolis strip club to drink.

The 39-year-old was arrested at 1:15 a.m. Tuesday on child neglect and public intoxication charges after calling police to report his truck stolen and his child missing.

Police say the man was too drunk to remember where he had parked.

They found the boy inside watching cartoons on a television inside the cab. The keys were in the ignition, and the doors were unlocked.

THE Northern Territory government has declared war on thousands of thirsty, marauding camels threatening residents and destroying water mains in Central Australia. In the past month, up to 6000 feral camels have invaded Docker River, a community 500km southwest of Alice Springs, in search of water.

They have torn up mains, sewerage pipes and even taken water from the top of air-conditioning units, The Australian reports...

Sparkly reindeer-dung necklaces are going on sale at an Illinois zoo that hopes to attract the same holiday shoppers who swept up its dung Christmas ornaments last year.
The limited-edition Magical Reindeer Gem necklaces will debut Friday at the Miller Park Zoo in Bloomington.

The $15 pendant necklaces contain dried, sterilized reindeer droppings — sprayed with glitter — on a beaded chain. They'll be available at the zoo's gift shop, or by mail for $20.

Vladimir Putin’s tigress is missing.

The rare Siberian tiger that Russia’s Prime Minister shot with a tranquiliser dart and fitted with a satellite-tracking collar has disappeared, according to environmentalists.

Its movements were being tracked on Mr Putin’s official website to highlight threats to the survival of the animal, also called the Amur tiger.The female tiger’s last location was recorded two months ago and nothing has been heard from her since.
