A pupil at a school which has banned fatty drinks and snacks has been suspended for "crisp dealing". Joel Bradley, 12, was caught allegedly selling a packet of Discos at a marked-up price of 50 pence.
The student at Liverpool's Cardinal Heenan High School was given a day's suspension because it was the second time he had been caught.
His father, Joe, told the Liverpool Echo the youngster was being "victimised" for the enterprise, which could earn him as much as £15 a day.

An arcade game that allows people to vent their anger at bankers has proved so popular the owner keeps having to replace worn out mallets.
Inventor Tim Hunkin introduced "Whack a Banker", which is based on the older "Whack a Mole" game, at his arcade on Southwold pier in Suffolk.
Instead of players hitting pop-up moles with a mallet, within a set time, the target is pop-up bald figures.
Mr Hunkin said the game was "proving very popular".

Australian wallabies are eating opium poppies and creating crop circles as they hop around "as high as a kite", a government official has said.
Lara Giddings, the attorney general for the island state of Tasmania, said the kangaroo-like marsupials were getting into poppy fields grown for medicine.
She was reporting to a parliamentary hearing on security for poppy crops.

NEW YORK — A New York City woman who was caught smuggling monkey meat through Customs has been sentenced to probation.
Mamie Manneh was arrested in 2006 after agents seized a shipment of dozens of primate parts hidden in a batch of smoked fish.
The boxes included the skulls, limbs and torsos of monkeys and baboons. She was charged with smuggling endangered species.
