RAUNCHY strip club signage is posing a moral and physical danger to Hobart schoolchildren, critics say, after one youngster walked into a pole while ogling a picture of a "rude lady".
Hobart Hooters Bar owner Peter Johnson was today refusing to replace two signs causing some offence, saying the controversy was "a storm in a D-cup''.

The club is close to a cinema and a private girls' school and its 2m-high exterior signs are visible from 100m away.

They show a woman's naked torso and a bikini-clad pole dancer.

The Advertising Standards Bureau has received complaints about the signs and the girls' school principal says they are inappropriately placed.

Life has taken Roger Gleen up and down the East Coast, and on this night the weary traveler settles into a chair in the corner of the world's busiest airport.

His bags propped neatly beside him, Gleen is among a dozen or so ticketless passengers at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, folks with no destination in mind.

They're Hartsfield's homeless, and like their counterparts in other major terminals, they've successfully resisted most efforts to clear them out.

"We have to go sooner or later," Gleen admits. "But you have people (who have) been coming to the airport for years."

Clusters of homeless have long settled in terminals from Philadelphia to Chicago, ideal round-the-clock shelters for men and women displaced by cities trying to clean up their downtowns.

MONTAGUE, Texas — For months, perhaps longer, the Montague County Jail was "Animal House" meets Mayberry.

Inside the small brick building across from the courthouse, inmates had the run of the place, having sex with their jailer girlfriends, bringing in recliners, taking drugs and chatting on cell phones supplied by friends or guards, according to authorities. They also disabled some of the surveillance cameras and made weapons out of nails.

The doors to two groups of cells didn't lock, but apparently no one tried to escape — perhaps because they had everything they needed inside.

HUDSON, Ohio — A woman's postcard bearing greetings from Montana has finally arrived in northeastern Ohio — 47 years later.

Insurance agent Dave Conn opened his post office box in the community of Hudson last week and found the mailing sent from Helena, Mont., in 1962.

It was sent to Marion White, the previous renter of the box, who had died in 1988. The writer signed the postcard "Fran" and mentioned having "had a marvelous time in Montana."

After asking around, Conn says he determined the card must have come from White's well-traveled friend Frances Murphey, a longtime reporter at the Akron Beacon Journal. She died in 1998 at age 75.

After wearing an eyepatch for many years, he recently got a prosthetic eye implanted – and decided he wanted to become what he calls an "Eyeborg" – a part-human, part-camera cyborg.

"I was looking at the small camera on my cellphone, and I got to thinking about the Bionic Man," he said in a recent video on his website.
